Our Veterinarians

Dr. Shawn Gleason
Dr. Shawn Gleason is originally from the Madison Valley of Montana. He graduated from the Oregon State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996. Shawn moved to the Bitterroot Valley with his family in 2002 to start his own practice. Prior to his move to the Bitterroot Valley, he practiced at Idaho Equine Hospital in Nampa, Idaho for five years. Shawn works on horses and both beef and dairy cattle. Shawn enjoys roping and spending time with his horses in his spare time.

Dr. Kelly
Dr. Kelly attended CSU for vet school. His previous life was as a research neuroscientist. He has worked on many different animals from lab rats and mice to Bison, Elk, and even feral hogs. His professional interests include equine dentistry and oral surgery, equine lameness/sports medicine, and general surgery. He really enjoys teaching. He spends free time with his wife Lisa and dogs Alder and Aven skiing and mountain biking. He has a myriad of other random hobbies including most recently knife making and black smithing.

Dr. Anne Hutton
Dr. Anne Hutton earned her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from Montana State University in 2014 and her Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Washington State University in 2018. After receiving her DVM, she completed two yearlong internships- one at Pioneer Equine Hospital in Oakdale, California, and another at Virginia Tech’s Marion DuPont Scott Equine Medical Center in Leesburg, Virginia. She has received specialized training in sports medicine, surgery, and emergency and critical care. Anne is from the Big Hole Valley; she grew up around horses and livestock through 4-H, ranch work, and rodeo. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family and her horses, going on pack trips and rodeos, traveling, skiing, hunting, and fly fishing.
Our Manager

Betsy
Betsy moved to Corvallis with her husband Shawn and their family in 2002 and is the practice manager for Tammany Veterinary Hospital. Betsy enjoys spending time with their two girls Abby and Katie exploring the many activities available in Montana’s beautiful Bitterroot Valley.
Our Receptionist

Jen
Jen joined our team as a receptionist shortly after moving to the Bitterroot Valley. Jen grew up rodeoing, competing in many of the timed events. She currently raises cutting and reining horses, providing her a well-rounded understanding of equine sports. When Jen is outside of the clinic she loves spending time with her husband and children, commonly rock-hounding and exploring our beautiful state.
Our Assistants and Technicians

Ashley
Ashley is a graduate of the University of Montana Western. Ashley moved to the Bitterroot Valley in 2014 and started working for Tammany Veterinary Hospital soon after. Ashley is knowledgeable in every area of the clinic, however, her favorites are surgery and cattle work. When not at work Ashley can be found spending time with her horses, roping, and rodeoing.

Elizabeth
Elizabeth has been a large animal veterinary assistant for nearly 15 years. She worked at a large equine practice in Western Washington before moving to the Bitterroot Valley and joining Tammany Veterinary Hospital. Elizabeth grew up starting young colts and riding horses in many different disciplines. When not at the clinic "Liz" can be found hunting and spending time in the mountains with her horse.
